If you have a passion for collecting rare or exclusive footwear, you're probably all too familiar with catching yourself developing some strong emotional ties for certain pairs from your collection.
In the monthly Kickin' the Door Blog series, we welcome fellow Rotterdam-based sneaker aficionados and footwear connoisseurs to share the Top 3 sneakers from their collection and let us in on the stories that make them so special.
BORIS DELHEZ
Working as a physiotherapist, our guest for the 18th episode of the Kickin' the Door blog series, Boris Delhez, knows a thing or two about physical well-being and making sure that your vitals are performing at their best. As a qualified physio, Boris knows that a pair of fresh and comfy sneakers on his feet are the very foundation of allowing him to power through his day. And when Boris is not flexing his sneakers on his patients (or taking care of them) he's either busy with his masters thesis, tending to his cats and plants or simply eating good.
We are curious - What are Boris's Top 3 sneakers from his collection and more importantly, what are the stories behind them?

HONORABLE MENTION
VISVIM VIRGIL
(Released in 2020)
I added these as an honourable mention since they're technically not really sneakers. But visvim is a brand that also produces sneakers so it still counts... I guess? The craftsmanship and the materials used on these boots are truly incredible while the silhouette allows for wear with almost everything. I like the attention to detail in visvim designs and the fact that they look like boots but they don't have a very rugged feel to them is a big plus. They fit very comfortably and the materials used on the upper are some of the best, you can keep on resoling them and they last you a lifetime. Old visvim never dies.
"I hardly wear these [Nike Air Footscape Woven Motion] now but they remind me of how excited I used to get for a pair of sneakers back
when I was younger and bought a lot more sneakers."
